| Objectives: To understand that organisms go through successive stages during their lives to which each must adapt. Each stage requires specific & different conditions (habitats) Humans can damage lifecycles at any stage. | |
| Methodology: A variety of habitats is explored to find various organisms at different stages of their lifecycle. Four lifecycles are highlighted & drawn on lifecycle sheets. The need to conserve habitats is discussed though this may lead to conflict with other uses & compromise is usually the answer. | |
| Key Words: Lifecycle, evolve, chrysalis, larva, metamorphosis, habitat, aquatic, function, fertilise, compromise, conflict, conservation, pollution. | |
| Skills & Concepts: Investigative skills, follow instructions, use all senses when exploring, make comparisons, relate life processes to organisms, care for the environment, understand adaptation and conflict/compromise. | |
