Harvest Week I am pleased to report we had a fantastic Harvest Week at Corston Fields Farm last week.  Over 500 children visited the farm and were able to see tractors ploughing the soil, and then finding out what is in the soil in a very hands on way!  Children were then able to see how crops are drilled and had ago themselves.  They were then able to see the plant growing and looked at the shoots and roots.  They then saw the combine harvesting the crop.  A look round the farmyard to see where the crop is stored and an investigation of the hedgerows completed a very busy day.  Some schools are already expressing an interest for next year!  We are pleased to start taking bookings now for next September, numbers are limited.
