Wildlife on the Farm

The wildlife needs a different habitat to thrive from that which domesticated animals need. Much of the wildlife lives in the thick hedges around the outside of fields, in grassy margins, woodland and old buildings. Think about the Barn Owl, where do you think you might find these living?

Whilst the farmer needs to produce food he tries to do it in a way that doesn’t harm the wildlife environment. As well as that, often if the farmer has an odd piece of a filed that isn’t very productive he might plant trees there that actually add to the environment.

"The animals on the farm are very important and need to be looked after."
