Packington Free Range, Staffordshire: how to make a booking

Farm Tour

We run on-farm educational tours for primary schools during the Summer Term and for the first half of the Autumn Term on our arable farm at Blakenhall Park. We inspire children to learn about farming, food production, the environment and conservation in a fun and hands-on way, whilst also enhancing learning in other areas of the curriculum through the great outdoors.

Pupils can learn about our sheep and pigs, explore the woodland trails, discover what crops are growing in our fields, try their hand at pond dipping and many other activities. There is a covered lunch area and teaching tent for schools to use, and each group is driven up to the dedicated education site on our trailer.

We have been running the project for seven years and saw over 6500 children last academic year. We can tailor our tours and talks to current school topics or learning.
